CHINESE OAK SILK MOTH CATERPILLARS!

Hello again! This is now my 3rd day of blogging and I thought that I would tell you about my CHINESE OAK SILK MOTH CATERPILLARS! I got them from Ebay as eggs but in the post they hatched so I ended up with 30 tiny black caterpillars. -

On there first moult they turned into little green caterpillars and started to eat rather a lot -

I've only got a baby oak tree so really I needed to take leaves from a bigger oak tree, so my family and I had to go out in the car every so often to get some oak! Then they grew HUGE and we had to go and get oak nearly every day!

Here are some pics of the FAT caterpillars! -

Now they are cocooning themselves with their silk. Here are some pics of their cocoons taken today! -

I'll keep you posted on the Caterpillars progress! TTFN!
