European Day of Languages 2008!

The European Day of Languages (26th September) is:

  • A Europe-wide celebration of all the world’s languages

  • A day to kick-start language learning

  • A chance to raise awareness about the value of language skills
EDL aims to:

  • To alert the public to the importance of language learning

  • To increase awareness and appreciation of all languages

  • To encourage lifelong language learning

We decided that for the European Day of Languages we would make flags from different countries. We used willow sticks from my garden and sheets of A4 card or paper and then we coloured or stuck stuff onto them! We also had fun learning how to say 'Hello' in different languages!

I like the Chinese one! Nee-HaOW! lol!

The work table!

The flags!

When we were going to the park with some of the group I spotted this tree and thought it resembled a reindeer!

My little friend was having good fun with me on the swings! Whooooo!

Some of my littlest friends :-)

My Bro!

The boys! lol!
