Rain poem!

Nearly all day today it has been raining! I sat on the door mat looking out at the rainy and very wet garden with a pen and a piece of paper in hand and I let my mind get taken away in a poem. This is what I came up with -

Drip, drop......... shhhhhhhhh,
listen, look, clouds,
wet patches, SUDDEN FLASHES!
Gosh thunder, CRASHING THUNDER!
Dogs are barking in the park and ........
look again a streak of lightning, how frightening!

How amazing, mouths a'gazing,
hearts a'rumbling, knees a'tumbling!
The rain came down like a curtain
and for this I was quite certain,
much to my regret
outside is now very, very WET!
