The picking of the apples!!!!!

We have an apple tree in my back garden, it belongs to my brother. My Grandad gave it to him when he was really small and now it has grown into a nice little tree! This year we have had our second bumper crop of apples and we picked most of them today!

We found a caterpillar on the apple tree. I looked it up in our books. It's a grey dagger moth caterpillar. It gets it's name because it is grey and has dagger shaped markings on it's wings!





We picked 32 apples!
All 32 apples weighed over 2.5kg!
The variety of apple tree is Discovery!

Afterwards my brother made us a fruit salad with his apples and the blackberries from our garden! It was YUMMY!
